MY SECOND TIME GETTING LIP FILLERS & FIRST TIME GETTING CHEEK FILLERS AT BEAUTY FIX MED SPA
After getting my first syringe of lip fillers at BeautyFix MedSpa , they informed me that my lips would settle overtime. I waited almost 3 months before going for for my second visit/touch up. I believe this is crucial to fillers, waiting time in between. You want to give your fillers time to settle, but not enough time to completely dissipate.

Upon arriving to BeautyFix, their Director Of Aesthetics Audrey chatted with me about how I liked my previous results and did a thorough consultation as to what I had in mind going forward. Audrey provided a very comprehensive consultation explaining how making very subtle enhancements to the face can make a big difference!
I began to ask her about cheek Filler, which I was always interested in to add more definition/contour to my cheeks. After learning that it wasn't a permanent procedure either, I decided to go for it!
Anna, their Registered Nurse with over 30 years of aesthetic experience, applied the numbing cream to my lips, and while they gave time for the cream to completely numb my lips, they started on my cheek fillers.
They injected a full syringe of Voluma to my cheeks to enhance the cheekbone, thus giving the effect of a deeper contour. I was pretty nervous as I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I knew how the lip fillers felt, but the skin on the cheek is different, and I had also came to learn that they don't numb the cheeks as they do the lips. This made me extraaaa nervous! lol
But, I was soooo relieved to find the pain didn't even come close to the lip fillers!! To be honest, it didn't even hurt like that. It's more so the sound of the filler being injected that is uncomfortable, like, you really hear a "crunching" noise, it's pretty weird lol but definitely not at all painful in my opinion!
Anna did an amazing job of evening out the filler between both sides of my face. The difference was subtle, but it definitely made my face look more symmetrical, and gave my face more of a contoured/defined look!
After the cheeks, Anna got started on my lip filler. Since it was just a refill, I went for only a half syringe of Juvederm. The second time around was way less painful and was a quicker procedure as it was only a half syringe. It probably took about 10 minutes.
Of course, right after the procedure the lips swell and look fuller than they actually will settle to be. Personally, I really love that look lol The first few days after lip fillers are always my favorite!
You can see photos below of the process as well as a photo of how my cheeks and lips looked by the end of the day. You can see some redness on my cheeks from the filler as well as my lips looking swollen, both of which were gone within the next few days.
I barely bruised on my lips this time around as well, I only got one tiny bruise on the bottom lip (as you can see in the last before and after photo in this blog post)
